Abstract: Studied was the processing technique of micro-pore silicon carbide which respectively took sawdust, carbon powder and petroleum coke powder as poreª²forming material. The relation between the processing technique and properties of this material was studied. The results showed that combined with mullite silicon carbide served as matrix of materials. The bending strength and porosity of this material would be decreased and increased respectively with the increasing of pore-forming material and the decreasing of forming pressure. The bending strength could increased, increasing the oxide orusing finer silicon carbide particle. Silicon carbide filtrating material that can meet the demands was prepared by optimizing the technique.
