Abstract: A nonlinear model is the
presented for arotor supported by an axial active magnetic bearing without
premagnetization bias current. A nonlinear controller based on dynamic feedback is
designed to linea rize and improve the axial system. Simulations are employed to verify
the presented scheme. Energy consumption in the axial magnetic bearing with unilateral
operate model is reduced and lower than that of the difference configuration with
premagnetiza tion bias current.
