Abstract: A real-time closed loop
power control algorithm is developed for wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA)
uplink. It makes use of optimization and feedback control to minimize user transmit powers
and to maximize the system stability. The feedback signal from base station is also
utilized. Simulation results shows that the algorithm has less power consumption and
better system stability in reference with the quality of communication service.
