Abstract: The epoxidation of propylene with hydrogen peroxide in methanol is studied under mild conditions over titanium silicalite catalyst (TS-1). Analyzed are the influence of temperature and pressure and other factors on reaction. It is founded that TS-1 has catalysis not only on propylene epoxidation, but also on PO etherification and hydrogen peroxide decomposition. Parameters for primary and side reaction are determined for the kinetics models. The results provide basis for reactor and process design.
