Abstract: The inter-phase corrosion mechanism of chromium white cast irons should be understood in relation to the electroche  mical behavior. Three kinds of chromium white cast irons are casted using the drawing phase surface collection method. The corrosion speed and the electrochemical behavior of eutectic carbide are determined. The experimental results show that the carbide polarization is passive but not transpassive. Moreover, the anti-corrosion ability of M7C3 carbide is higher than that of M3C carbide.
