Multi-Tired Model and Database for Component   Transaction Server

Abstract: The Client/Server's computing model is introduced and two types of database accessment techniques based on Internet/Intranet are compared. They are the Java and component techniques. Discussed are the character, architecture, and realization of multi-tired model based on component transaction server. This model can satisfy the need of on-line transaction processing (OLTP) and distributed application under the environment of Internet/Intranet.
