Investigation of Nanobalance for molecules Based on Carbon Nanotube

Abstract: The nanobalance for molecules (particles) based on an individual carbon nanotube is described. Constructed is a model using a cantilevered nanobeam for the balance system. The intrinsic frequency of the system is studied as a function of the loaded mass by solving the governing vibration equation. The result gives the mass-dependent frequency plot of the system. The nanobalance is subtle for mass of molecules less than that of the carbon nanotube of the order of fg.
