Abstract: The least mean square (LMS) iterative algorithm is used to
improve the blind symbol estimation method that is based on subspace. This results in
drastic reduction of computational work compared with the conventional one. So the
improved method is suitable for realizing uplinksignals separation in smart antenna
systems. The computer simulation has shown that the improved method has the same effect as
the conventional one.
