Analysis of Three-Dimensional Turbulent Flow of Mineral Slurry in Curved Pipe

Abstract:  Turbulent flow field of the mineral slurry in a¡¡180¡ã¡¡curved pipe is analyzed using the steady, three-dimensional,incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The mixing length turbulent model is adopted. Numerical solution is obtained by using the finite element method while the differential equations are disretized. The results agree well with the experiment.
