Pin Power Reconstruction of Fuel Assembly

Abstract: A 2-D and 3-D pin power reconstruction code 3DPPREC is developed using the modulationmethod with high power function and hyperbolic function expansion. Several benchmark problems have been solved. The numerical results are compared with those from the fine mesh differential code CITATION. It shows that the proposed method can be applied to the reconstruction of nuclear reactor for recovering pin power distribution of fuel assembly.
