Abstract:  Efficiency of cyclone separator is analyzed for different operational and constructional condition. Results show that outer cylinder height and inducting-exhausting distance are the major factors that affect efficiency. The down-cup shaped inducting column is better than that  of cylinder-shaped. The results are useful for the design and optimization of cyclone separators with downward exhaust gas.
