Single-Phase-to-Ground Fault in Extra-High-Voltage Lines

Abstract: The two types of single-phase-to-ground faults in extra-high-voltage lines¡¡are identified as temporary and permanent. The faulty phase is studied before isolating it from both terminals. Calculations are made for different line types, using wavelets transform to decomposethe faulty phase voltage into the two aforementioned types.
