
Steady State Performance of Brushless Doubly-Fed
Machines for Adjustable Speed Drives

Abstract: Steady state performance is studied for
brushless doubly-fed machines. The frequency of every winding is converted to the same
value by application of the frequency-conversion method. Equivalent circuit and the phasor
diagram can be made. The phasor diagram can be used to analyze the effect of control
winding current on power winding. Electromagnetic torque and power equation are alsoused
for determining the steady state performance of brushless doubly-fed machines.
