Study on Phase Error and Its Uncertainty of Broadband Sampling Oscilloscope

Abstract£ºA simulation model of sampling circuit SPICE of 50 GHz broadband sampling oscilloscope was developed based on the electric parameter modeling of discrete componentsª±The model parameters were constructed according to the circuit frame and multiª²dimensional and subtle electrical measurements of a disassembled sampling headª±Since the electric parameters are intuitional and have specific physical meanings£¬this method is simpler and more precise than the mathematical modeling methodª± Under the premise that the uncertainty of each parameter of the model is 10%£¬the phase error of approximate 7.03¡ã and the standard uncertainty of 1.34¡ã are synthesized through quantizing the influence of each component parameter£¬and a conclusion that the impact of diode¡¯s gradient factor on the phase error is larger than that of the diode¡¯s zeroª²bias junction capacitance is drawnª±The simulation results show that compared with mathematical modeling£¬the proposed method is easier to analyze the phase error uncertainty£¬and the phase error is decreased by 45%£®
