Abstract£ºAiming at the uncertainty of weights selection in the weighting orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system, a performance analysis method for carrier blind synchronization is proposed. Base on the diagonal theory for circular matrix, the closed expression of carrier weights which is related to the carrier Cramerª²Rao bound (CRB) and system symbol error rate (SER) respectively is provided. Thereby an optimization problem to minimize the carrier CRB and system SER can be established, so the optimal carrier weights are obtained by solving it. Thus the performance analysis can be carried out to get corresponding system SER and carrier synchronization errors(CSE). The theoretical analysis indicates that the influence of carrier weights on system SER is more than that on carrier CRB, and the smaller the carrier CRB£¬ the larger the corresponding SER. The result of simulation experiments based on 802ª±11a system shows that the CSE and system SER accord well with their theory analysis results, and the CSE and system SER also can approximate their theoretical optimal values due to optimal carrier weights.
