| ¡¡ Adhesive Contact Model and Calculation of
Microª²Mechanical Systems Abstract£ºBased on the classically elastic theory and the Lennardª²Jones potential
law£¬ the elastic model of adhesive contact is established to investigate such problems
as adhesion£¬contact and deformation in microª²mechanical systems£¬and the variations
with the gap between two spheres of the adhesive force£¬ deformation and contact radius
are obtained£® The results indicate that the adhesive attraction prior to the contact of
two spheres has engendered the obvious bulge£¬and they enter into contact as the distance
gets 1.5 times the balanceable gap of the atoms£® When the two spheres contact£¬the
sphere profiles and the adhesive force transit smoothly between the inner and outer
contact regions£¬which reveals that there exists no obvious critical contact radius£®It
is concluded that the rigid model of adhesive contact enables accurately to describe the
adhesive force of two spheres only when the distance is beyond 5 times the balanceable gap
of the atoms via analyzing the variation of the adhesive force with the distance£® |
