Experimental Study on Refrigeration Behavior of Active Magnetic Regenerator of Room Temperature Magnetic Refrigeration

Abstract:An experimental system of room temperature magnetic refrigeration was constructed,and the control and data acquisition system was developed. Thermodynamic performance of active magnetic regenerator (AMR) of room temperature magnetic refrigeration was experimentally studied and the refrigeration capacity data were obtained.The influence of the temperature span,temperature range,flow time and flow rate were investigated in the experiment.The results indicate that the capacity can reach 18.7 W at a 3¡æ temperature span. In addition,in the experimental region,the capacity decreased with temperature span increase and the flow rate increase;the increase of flow time caused a rapid decrease of capacity;the capacity in the temperature range spanning the Curie point was larger than that in the temperature range below the Curie point.
