Recent Progress on Alternatives to CFC12 and
HCFC22(2)

Abstract:The current and potential alternatives to HCFC22 used in air conditioners are
extensively described and discussed.Furthermore,the current research,especially of our
group, on HFCs mixtures and ethers as alternatives is summarized.Considering environment
acceptability and refrigeration performance,the refrigerant mixture of
HFC32/HFC125/HFC152a proposed by our group has obvious advantages as the refrigerant in
domestic air conditioners.
