Difference Protein Maps of Kidney Tissues of IgA Nephropathy Rat that Arise from the Effects of Fructus Corni

Abstract:The distinct changes of difference protein maps of kidney tissues of IgA nephropathy rat that arises from the effects of the traditional chinese medicine, fructus corni, were found by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE).compare the 2-DE maps between IgA nephropathy and normal rat,664 protein spots in 1 279 samples were matched,and 263 proteins were with over two-times high difference in the matched spots,3 proteins were not expressed and 1 protein was uniquely expressed in IgA nephropathy. In IgA nephropathy rat fed with fructus corni extract (FCE) the 147 in the matched spots,the unexpressed 3 proteins and the uniquely expressed 1 protein were entirely recovered to normal expressions by comparing IgA nephropathy rat without FCE.Synchronously, there is uniquely expressed 1 protein only in the rat fed with FCE.This experiment reveals that these difference and uniquely expressed proteins ought to be the target proteins that FCE acts on IgA nephropathy,and FCE can effectively redress rat IgA nephropathy probably via affecting these target proteins.
