Abstract£ºA threeª²dimensional unsteady mathematic model was set up to simulate heat transfer for the testª²package in a freezer£® The property variation was introduced and a reduced factor for heat conduction near surfaces was applied to decrease the calculated error of heat transfer£¬ considering contacting resistance caused by change of testª²package volume£® Various heat convection coefficient correlations were adopted to predict temperatures inside the testª²package and the calculated temperatures were compared with the experimental results£¬ which indicates that Morgan correlation is more accurate than others£¬ with the calculated heat convection coefficients of 5-7 W/£¨mª¬2·K£© and the reduced factor of about 0ª±1 for the heat conduction near surface under the 10¡Á10¡Á10 grids£® Good agreement between the predicted temperature field and the test data shows that the model and the calculation method are practical£¬ which also supply a good approach to simulate phase change problem£®
