| Recording and Transmission Techniques of
Electrocardiograph for High Sample Rate Holter System Yan Xiangguo,Zheng Chongxun,Kang Yu (The Key Laboratory of Biomedical Information Engineering of Ministry of Education,Xi'an Jiaotong University,Xi'an 710049,China) Abstract:To satisfy the development of a high-powered Holter system,an efficient scheme with electrocardiograph(ECG) data compression,storage,and transmission,is proposed. An integer-to-integer wavelet transform based ECG data reduction algorithm is presented,where data reduction with high signal fidelity are achieved by introducing a shelter function with thresholds at different scales and a code scheme based on statistics.An address-mapped approach based data storage model is used to improve data storing efficiently.A built-in USB technique is applied to implement highª²speed data transmission.The experiment and clinic application show that it can record 24-hours¡¯12-leads ECG at 1 000 Hz sample rate,and is competent to record normal ECG,paced-¦¥CG and high-frequency ECG accurately.
