Abstract:Biaxial fatigue behavior of hydrided Zr-4 in the cold-worked (CW) under in-phase (IP) loading with different strain amplitudes and out-of-phase (OP)loading with the phase angle of 30¡ã,60¡ã,90¡ã was studied. The results indicate that there exists cyclic softening for CW Zr-4 under IP and OP loading with different equivalent strain amplitudes. In addition, the extent of cyclic softening for OP loading is higher than that for IP loading at the same equivalent strain amplitudes, and under the same phase angle the extent of softening for OP loading increases with the increase of the magnitude of equivalent strain. In comparison with IP loading,OP loading with a phase angle of 30¡ã shows additional softening, while that with a phase angle of 90¡ã shows additional strengthening.
