| Blind Signal Detection for Space-Time
Block Coding in Frequency-Selective Scenario with Linear Pre-Coding Deng Ke,Yin Qinye,Ding Le,Zhao Zheng (School of Electronics and Information Engineering,Xi'an Jiaotong University,Xi'an ¡¡710049,China) Abstract:Focusing on the problem that training sequences will decrease the transmission efficiency in the space-time block code (STBC) system, a method that can directly detect the STBC coded signals transmitted over the frequency-selective channels without knowing the channel state information (CSI) was proposed. This novel blind detection algorithm used a linear preª²coding STBC scheme at the transmitter side and a subspace method at the receiver side in order to achieve the full frequency diversity. Unlike other existed blind signal detection schemes, the proposed method was able to achieve the full diversity at the full transmit and receive rate without knowing the CSI and could be generalized to other STBC schemes with any number of transmit antennae. Monte-Carlo simulations demonstrated that the performance of the proposed blind method was similar to that of the method knowing the CSI.
