Abstract:A new power control algorithm for wireless multi rate code division multiple access systems with imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) is discussed in order to reduce multiple access interferences. The new algorithm considers the remaining power of interference, which is proportional to the received power, and the ceaseless change of channel gain resulting in the estimate error of channel gain. The relationship of the estimate error of channel gains to the outage rates and the power of system is obtained. the new algorithm partly improves the performance of user¡¯s outage rate by using perfect SIC(PSIC). Simulation shows that the performance of outage rates is deteriorated rapidly resulting from the increase of the estimate error of channel gain, while the sensitivity of the outage rates is not in evidence for the variety of remaining coefficient. The rate of outage rate of ISIC and that of PSIC is 2 7 and 1 5 if the deviation is 0 2 and 1, respectively.
