Abstract:Facing the need of Internet traffic monitor,the traffic data is characterized and three types are compartmentalized, then a distributed scalable traffic monitor model is designed. This model solves the architecture deficiency of current monitor systems. The traffic monitor system is divided into three parts, so the heavy jobs on data analysis and visualization can be removed from the key nodes. As a result, its resource consume on the nodes can be reduced. The three-layer model is discussed. The model has been implemented in a measurement platform, and it is found that the proposed model can realize traffic monitor for a large scale Internet.
