Abstract:By lecreasing carbon confenfand adding a cenfain a mchnt of alloy a now maferlal with better foughness, named as 28CrNiVRe highchriomiam white cast irom, was developed. A comparative study of the erosive charactenstics and the interaction between corrosion and wear was conducted for the new material and 0Cr13Ni5Mo. The results show that wear is the dominating failure form of the materials during erosivewear process. Howevr, the corrosion and the interaction between corrosion and wear an not beignored. The properties of erosivewear resistance of the new material are more excellent than that of 0Cr13Ni5Mo, and opened up a vast range of prospects for its application to hydroelectric engineering.
