Abstract：A new thermodynamic analysis approach of thermal system, the method of heat grade coefficients, is presented briefly. General formulas of heat grade coefficients are obtained by the energy balance of the thermal system. Then, the general principles of the method are described in details to analyze the local thermal system changes. Finally, an example is introduced to demonstrate the validity and the advantages of the method.
