Combined Nucleation Theory and Models for Refrigerant Flow in a
Capillary Tube

Abstract:Combined nucleation theory has been developed by analyzing the
mechanism of liquid refrigerant flashing in a capillary tube. According to this theory,
the formulas for bubble distribution and bubble growth were derived and a mathematical
model simulating liquid refrigerant flash flow in a capillary tube was established. The
results obtained by this model agree well with experimental data.
