Abstract：A new model of user browsing behavior is presented. Through the introduction of the page content parameter into Web usage mining, the model adopts the ratio of the Web page size to the user's browsing time as a measure of user's concern for a specific page, and uses it to separate page references into those for navigation purposes and for information content purposes. A content-only transaction identification approach based on this model is defined and implemented, and the experimental mining results using real data verify its applicability.
