Explosive to Electrical Power with Ferroelectric-Antiferroelectric
Transitions

Abstract:In order to establish the relation between released elecrical
energy and applied fields, ferroelectricantiferroelctric phase transition
characteristics of modified lead zirconate titante compounds were measured by using
dielectric hysteresis, hydrostatic pressure,pyroelectric methods, and the electrical
output on capacitance and resistance loads were analyzed theoretically. It was obtained
that the electrical output was proportional to the square of surface electric charge
amounts and inverse to phase transition time of material. Based on above results it was
put forward an approach of increasing output.Improving the verticality of dielectric
hysteresis loop could increase the surface charge density and also reduce the phase
transition time of material.
