Abstract:Several simplified approaches are discussed to analyze distribution network, such as uniformly distributed load model(UDLM), voltage drop model(VDM), line losses model(LLM), hybrid model(HM), and structure variable dissipated network(SVDN). A novel simplified method, i.e., equivalent load model(ELM) is presented, in which the voltages and the power on/through both ends of the feeder are used to describe the load and its distribution within the feeder line. Only field test datum from feeder circuit breakers in substations, swithches along the feeder lines and on the loop points are needed to obtain a satisfied analysis result.
