Method for the Fuzzy Robust Optimal Design of the Design Objective with Small-the-Best or Large-the-Best Characteristic

Abstract:In order to solve the robust design problem with fuzzy information when the design objective of product quality possesses small-the-best or large-the-best characteristic, the concept of fuzzy design objective was put forward firstly, and its mathematical expression in fuzzy number was given. According to the robust design principle, the rule of the fuzzy robust design with fuzzy design objective was presented. The mathematical characteristics of this rule and its validity condition were discussed. With the robustness of fuzzy design objective and the feasibility robustness of fuzzy restriction conditions considered, the modeling method of the fuzzy robust optimal design was put forward when the design objective of product quality possesses Small-the-best or Large-the-best characteristic. A practical design example was accomplished.
