The Iteration Method between S1 and S2 Relative Stream Surfaces and It's Application in the Optimum Design for Steam Turbine

Abstract:The iteration method between S1 and S2 relative stream surfaces put forward by Professor Zhonghua Wu was implemented. The steam property model and the Aeiley/Mathieson/Dunham/Came (ADMC) aerodynamic loss model were introduced into the calculation procedure. With the method, a sloping-twisted combined shaping was performed for the through-flow geometry of lowpressure stages in a cogeneration double-extraction steam turbine. By optimizing the flow parameters and maintaining good match between nozzle and rotor, the pressure distribution in flow path is changed and the radial variation of stage reaction is optimized. The relative internal efficiency of the low-pressure stages is increasesd by 66 percent.
