Abstract: A state-in-art review of several available main distributed
power technologies was presented and analyzed. The distributed power technologies based on
fossil energy include reciprocating engines, micro gas turbines and fuel cells; and the
distributed power technologies based on renewable energy include photovoltaic power,
concentrating solar thermal power and wind power. The advantages, issues and challenges
met in development of these technologies were put forward. A new concept and novel frame
of the distributed multi-objective power system based on renewable energy were proposed.
The important tasks in development of the novel system are to solve the problem of collect
and conversion of renewable energy, and to look for the new energy carriers, the storage
methodes and the materials correlated with these.
