
Network Method of the Analysis of Capacitor Single-Phase Motors

Abstract: By virtue of graph theory,the network
equations based on the loop current method are set up for single-phase induction motors.
This network method is suitable for analysis and calcul-ation of the single-phase
induction motor having any stator winding connection. Bacause the main formulas are
expressed by matrixes, it is also convenient for computer programming. Taking a capacitor
single-phase motor for example, some performance indexes of the motor are calculated by
the proposed analysis method. The good agreement between the calculated results and the
experimental ones shows the validity of this method.
