Chaos Control Based on Limiter

Abstract: A method using limiter is presented for chaos control. The system parameter is adjusted when the controlled variable overstepping its threshold and recovered when the controlled variable returning within the threshold. The simulation on Lorenz system and Rossler system is conducted and a satisfactory result is obtained. According to the simulation result, whether the method is successful or not greatly depends on two parameters: the threshold and the adjusted parameter. The initial value of system has an effect on transient time. The method can be realized easily in practical application. Due to its short response time, the method plays a significant role in control of some chaotic systems demanding for high frequency response.
