Abstract: The influence of pressure, temperature and particle size of ice
on the formation of natural gas hydrate below ice point was experimentally investigated,
and the influence of supercooling and overpressure was also studied. The results show that
the formation would be enhanced by increasing pressure, decreasing temperature and
reducing the particle size of ice. It was also obtained that the supercooling or the
overpressure degree and time could stimulate the formation of hydrate. The curve of the
gas content in natural gas hydrate versus time was also obtained, which can be used to
evaluate the reaction degree.
