Multi-disciplinary Materials Research Center currently has the following position openings, and we welcome excellent young researchers to join us. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the center, applicants with background in one of the following fields will be eligible: physics, materials science (including semi-conductor materials, electric materials etc.), chemistry, mechanics and so on.

1. One "Cheungkong Professor"

Qualifications:
1) hold a PhD degree in one of the following: Physics, Materials Science or Chemistry. (research field is not an important factor of consideration). Younger than 45 years old. Postdoc experience is desirable.
2) Have established as outstanding researcher through international publications.

Successful candidate will be provided with the following:
1) Salary: basic salary plus annual 100,000 RMB allowance; with other benefits in housing, etc.
2) research fund of two million RMB
3) provide independent laboratory.
4) appointment as vice director in MMRC

2. One vice director of MMRC( also as a "Tengfei Professor")

Qualifications:
1) Have PhD, younger than 40 years old
2) hold 1st-authored, important international publications in the field of physics, material or chemistry. Applicants with background in shape memory alloys, phase transition, ferroelectric materials, ferromagnetic materials, colossal magnetoresistive materials, superconductive materials, defect chemistry are desirable, but not necessary.
3) being cooperative and has certain ability to carry out research organization.

Successful candidate will be provided with the following:
1) Basic salary plus 80,000RMB annual allowance; housing, insurance, welfare and other benefits.
2) Research funds (300,000-500,000 RMB)
